Crashing in the Waves

Ocean are you still dreaming Do you still get off on in-flight turbulence People never made any sense You're a skeleton key Without a conscience You hold a secret that alone belongs to you And everyone you knew Are you weird enough for my love For my love Ocean I know You would never play this game Painting shadows of naked flames Your aching heart is merely a reflection A mirror in a cosmic speculum You denounce the secret but the question remains That alone belongs to you Are you weird enough for my love For my love Are you weird enough for my love For my love Are you weird enough for my love For my love Are you weird enough for my love For my love Are you weird enough for my love For my love Are you weird enough for my love For my love

I always felt that the universe worked in mysterious ways In my vision at the centre of it all was an image of your face There’s a big black hole my mind spins around Every now and then I disappear only to be found again All the seconds that I spend Would I ever to lie to you Just to get you on side it’s true There ain’t no masterplan I just use what I can Did you know Valentine’s the saint of tiny birds Just a little line in keeping with the rule That I serve In the name of love In the name of love In the name of love In the name of love In the name of love I could look into your palm and see A picture of your life you sat with me Fake leather on a true love seat I could tell you that the stars align Written in the constellation is heart-shaped star sign Libra Gemini Would I ever lie to you Just to get you on side it’s true That there ain’t no masterplan I just do what I can Don’t you know the planets spin a beautiful dance It’s all left to chance A chaotic principle I serve In the name of love In the name of love In the name of love In the name of love In the name of love In the name of love In the name of love In the name of love

Idle 03:11
Hanging round here awhile Shadowing the sun dial Idle with time on trial Destiny's Child Idling eyes fall on all that is graceful Idolise the ornate doll Bone idle Aimless AImless when the morning comes Aimless at the sight of the sun going down But endless Endless is the idle fire Endless is my desire to be yours Idle hands revel Drawn in by the devil I'll be your plaything But forever idle Devilish long hair Flowing down the brassiere Idle I will stare I'm bone idle Aimless AImless when the morning comes Aimless at the sight of the sun going down But endless Endless is the idle fire Endless is my desire to be yours Ooh I am idle Ooh oh bone idle Ooh I am idle Ooh oh oh oh credits

I know the moment I let go A giddy kind of vertigo Crashing through the waves Sea legs I never had sea legs Though I swam in your bed Crashing through the waves Treading in the sea The sea of indecision Covering ourselves in the waves we can't see when Everyone drowns Yet we live in hope hope hope My grip Did I lose my grip Stumbled and I tripped Crashing through the waves Thunderstorm Elevator free form I'll never be free from The power of the waves Treading in the sea, the sea of indecision Covering ourselves in the waves we can't see when Everyone drowns Yet we live in hope hope hope There is no hope There is no hope I'm drowning There is just pain My head is pounding Was there ever love Or were we lost at sea Did you ever see me Was there ever love Or were we lost at sea Did you ever see me Was there ever love Or were we lost at sea sea sea Dry land Safer on dry land Though our love had no plan Crashing through the waves

about

Danny aka DG Solaris writes:

In 2018, while suffering a hallucinogenic fever in the mountains of Peru, I had a dream that Jeremy Tuplin and I were both floating high above a raging sea. The following morning, I emailed him to share this news - I should mention that we had only casually met once or twice at gigs in London at this point, so it was a little strange. He took it in his stride and we began a correspondence which morphed into the idea of trying to write a song together. The first songs we wrote were Crashing in the Waves and Idle, on an innocent day in early February 2020. And the rest we wrote later via the medium of Zoom. There had been talk of releasing this on vinyl but the label we had discussed this with didn't survive the pandemic, so instead it is available for you to download from Bandcamp.
