This song is the product of a collaboration with songwriter/producer, Salim Nourallah. Salim invited me to perform a tour of Texas with him in late 2018. While there, he suggested we spend a spare day in his Pleasantry Lane Studio in Dallas. As I had spent the previous week listening to him sing his songs, I felt called to sing this beautiful ode to the romanticism of a musical life, discovered browsing the racks of record shops as a young boy. The song lay dormant for a few years but was dug out during a moment of lockdown boredom, and finally we are ready to present it to you. With love!
